Oyo Rep Member, Hon. Lafi, Condoles With Gov Makinde Over Brother’s Demise

The Lawmaker representing Akinyele/ Lagelu federal constituency, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye Wasiu, has sympathized with Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State over the death of his eldest brother, Engr. Sunday Makinde.

The elders brother of Governor Makinde reportedly died on Friday morning at the age of 65.

In a statement, Hon. Akinmoyede Olafisoye expressed heartfelt condolences to Governor, Makinde and his family over the demise of Engr. Sunday Makinde.

In the condolence message made by Hon. Akinmoyede Wasiu through his Special Assistant on media Abdullahi Alimi Ajofeebo, the federal lawmaker described the demise of Engr. Sunday Makinde as very painful considering his contribution to the betterment of the society and humanity as a whole.

“I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Engr. Sunday Makinde. His demise is indeed a great loss to the Makinde family and everyone that has had contact with him while alive.

“His legacy of humility and service would sorely be missed and forever be remembered.” The statement stressed.

While praying for strength and comfort for the Oyo state Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde and other members of his bereaved family, Hon. Akinmoyede hinted that the entire good people of Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency are solidly behind them during this challenging time.

“All the good people of Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency stand with your Excellency, Engr. Seyi Makinde and your entire family in this moment of grief and pray God to grant you the fortitude to bear the painful but irreparable loss.

“May God Almighty equally forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and grant him eternal rest. Hon. Lafi prayed.”
